![]() |
CanLit heats up this September at the Descant Book Ball: Cuba Libro Descant, Toronto’s premier literary and arts quarterly, is throwing its third annual fundraiser at Sorauren Studio (22 Sorauren Avenue, see map below) on Friday, September 29 to celebrate its fall Cuban-themed issue. Be transported to old Havana by Juno award winning flutist and saxophonist Jane Bunnett while feasting on authentic Cuban cuisine and cocktails. Bid in the silent and live auction featuring art, artifacts and collaged cigar boxes donated by the local literary community's brightest stars and dance the night away. Tickets are $60 and include open bar, hors d'oeuvres, readings, entertainment... and offer the opportunity to help Descant continue to promote Canada’s emerging and established authors, poets and artists! (Bring along your book club at the reduced ticket price of $50, for groups of 5 or more).
JUST ANNOUNCED! Descant is offering student tickets at the reduced price of $20. Student tickets are only available at the door at Sorauren Studio on the night of the event: please bring along your student ID card! Questions? e: tix@bookball.ca |
